How long have the Evangelmen been singing???

A total time period of 26 years!
However, there have been two "gaps in time" when the group came "off the road". The Emen were active 1980-1988 and 1991 to 1999. We sang as "The Branson Family" thru April of 2001, then re-grouped in March of 2004, singing thru July of 2006.

What is the denominational background of the group???

The original Quartet was started among the members of one church: Evangel Tabernacle Assembly of God in Fresno, California. Over all the years all but one Evangelman (Landon Beene) has been an "attending member" of Evangel (hence the name).
Although the members of the Evangelmen are "Pentecostal", we are NOT of the belief that an individual MUST Speak in Tongues to "be saved"!!!
We teach and believe that it is the BLOOD of Jesus that cleanses the Soul, and that "By Grace are ye saved thru Faith; not of works lest any man should boast"!!!
Furthermore, we believe that EVERY Christian is "Filled with the Spirit" at the moment of their Salvation . . . and the BAPTISM of the Holy Ghost (with the evidence of Speaking in Tongues) is an experience subsequent to salvation. Such an experience is attainable by all who desire this "extra gift" . . . but not required for Salvation.

Many times over the years we have sung to 1,000+ . . . but the single largest crowd was most likely the first year we sang at the Great Western Quartet Convention. The crowd that night was reported to be over 5,000!!!

What about a new CD???

After the bottom dropped out of my world following the Sudden Death of My Father on June 18th 2005 (the morning we were to leave on a Multi - State TOUR) we have not been able to go forward with another CD.
The financial "loss" from missing the tour put a BIG DENT in our recording plans, then my health these first months of 2006 has not helped, so we are just now (Spring) beginning to make plans for another CD, with a possible release of Early Fall!!!

I've followed the Emen for years. How do I get replacements on the old cassettes from the early years???

We are currently working on this!
With the marvel of modern technology the old cassettes can be "cleaned up" and reproduced onto CD's! We plan to produce "Saints Shall Rise" and "LIVE and Alive" onto CD very soon!!!

AND NOT JUST CD's!!!
The Emen recently purchased a DVD Burner, so "look" for the release of many of our "older" VHS releases from concerts and services!!!
