2004 EVENTS . . .
IMMEDIATE PRAYER NEEDED!!!
We have just found out that Laura Noble (wife of lead singer Bob Noble) has a CYST the size of a Tennis Ball in her brain!!!
Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday August 17th.
The Emen urgently request your prayers!!!

GOD STILL ANSWERS PRAYER!!!
The good report is that Laura came thru surgery with Flying Colors!!! The cyst was definitely "benign" and prognosis for a complete recovery is excellent!!!
Thanks to everyone who prayed!
UPDATE as of December = Laura is doing simply WONDERFUL, and will return to work in January, which is several weeks before what was projected!!!
March 21st ~~~ 10:45am
FIRST CONCERT after the Evangelmen "came out of retirement"!!!
Location was the 1st Baptist Church of Avenal
Tom Woelk is the Pastor and the people were just GREAT!!!
March 21st ~~~ Afternoon
The Emen enjoyed visiting on our way back to Fresno, where we headed to THE PICTURE PEOPLE for Publicity Shots!
While the shots were being developed we spent some time at SPOONS observing our "favorite pastime" of EATING!!!
May 3rd ~~~ 6pm
This is not actually a ROAD event, but I wanted to include it so everyone would have the news! ~ On this date and time we started learning NEW SONGS for what will be a NEW CD!!! (yeah) ~ We are pushing on toward a release date to co - incide with the 2004 Gospel Funtastic = September 4th!!!
May 22nd ~~~ 7pm
We had a GREAT time singing at The Forum in Reedley! We had left our "prepared" program soundtrac disc in Fresno, so the "scrambling" to use the "back - up" mini - disc was very interesting!!!
May 23rd ~~~ 9am
What a JOY it was to sing for the folks at the Corcoran Community Church!!! They were so warm and receptive! We eagerly look forward to a return.
May 23rd ~~~ 3pm
The Evangelmen were honored to be a part of the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Rev Cecil O Branson as Pastor of Evangel Praise Center in Fresno!!! The Emen were founded at Evangel in 1980, so this was a fun "gig"!!!
June 10th / 11th / 12th
"Half" of the Evangelmen (Randy and Beckie) were priviledged to attend the East Tennessee Homecoming in Gray, TN. This special event featured the BEENE FAMILY and the PERRYS each night, with guest artists THE DOVE BROTHERS / GOLD CITY / SIGNATURE SOUND / DIXIE MELODY BOYS / ISSACS / TALLEY TRIO / LEWIS FAMILY / HIS SONG / MICHAEL COMBS.
June 27th ~~~ 10:30am
The NEW TENOR of the Evangelmen (my lovely wife Beckie) was a HIT at House of Prayer in Clovis!!!
For lack of a better term...she WHAILED it out!!!
The Emen followed the Spiritual Fellowship with Food 'n' Fellowship at Hometowne Buffet with Pastors Gary and Barbara Cooper.
June 27th ~~~ 2pm
SIDEWALK CONCERT
As we left the resturant we came upon two of our BEST "supporters" from over the years, so the Emen (dressed in their Red / White / Blue "patriotic" outfits) sang their acapella rendition of "America The Beautiful"!!!
More than a few stopped on the sidewalk to listen.
July 11th ~ 6pm
Who says one can not go "Home Again"??? ~~~ Randy especially enjoyed the concert at his "boyhood church" (1960 - 1968) Caruthers Full Gospel Assembly ~~~ Randy and Beckie also served as Youth and Music Pastors there 1978 - 1981 . . . LOTS of memories!!! ~~~ The folks were GREAT to sing to (even tho Randy had strep throat) and Pastor Ron invited us back!!!
July 22nd ~ 7:30pm
VERY UNUSUAL EVENT!!!
Due to circumstances we could not control we were forced to CANCEL this concert at the "last minute"!!! ~~~ We sincerely APOLOGIZE to those who came to the auditorium to find the "sign on the door"!!! ~~~ I can only remember 2 times in 51 years that I've not made a scheduled concert . . . again please forgive us!!!
July 26th ~ 3pm
What a JOYOUS experience we had!!!
Rev Mike Michaelsen and the folk of Church of the Valley in San Martin treated us like ROYALTY!!! ~~~ The trip was highlighted by time well spent in the home of Jay and Sheryl. Bob and Laura / Beckie and I had "the 2 hour drive" to make this trip, since San Martin is just 5 miles from Jay's home!!! ~~~ Yes, old Coffee Breath makes that drive for every practice, and for most of our concerts as well!!!
THAT'S DEDICATION!!!!!
July 30th
Here we have a "non - road" event in the form of a news item about our new CD ~~~ we are still working on songs but (sadly) will NOT be releasing the project on the planned date of September 4th!!! ~~~ We are now shooting to be able to have it IN HAND in time for Christmas - present - giving!!!
Month of August
Earlier this summer we had two dates in August "cancel out". We wondered at the time WHY the entire month was "open" but realized it was in the Lord's Hands. ~~~ Then came August!!! ~~~ Bob was more than busy with the health situation of his Wife (described in the Prayer Request above). ~~~ Jay had a "Family Responsibility" that called him out of town for three weeks of the month. ~~~ Randy spent most of the month in bed battling both Gout and Diabetic Neuropathy!!! ~~~ Isn't it Wonderful how the Lord knows our "past" and our "present" as well as our "future"???
September 4 ~ 6pm
The 2004 Gospel Funtastic will most likely be remembered as "Randy's Wheelchair Concert"!!! LOL ~~~ Even with the health events described above, Randy was "stubborn" enough to insist on attending the concert!!! ~~~ Things went well, each group sang their hearts out, and the 112 in attendance were BLEST!!! ~~~ We are amazed that this event (which usually draws 500 to 700) was so poorly attended this year. ~~~ SPECIAL thanks to Pastor Jim Franklin for use of his BEAUTIFUL facility!!!
September 5th ~ 5pm
What a GRAND TIME we had at the annual Labor Day Concert of Calvary Worship Center!!! ~~~ Pastor Roy Lee and congregation were joined by Pastor Gary Cooper of House of Prayer (Clovis) for this "Food and Music" Fellowship. ~~~ Various congregational members sang, followed by the Emen, then the night was "topped off" by the EXCELLENT talent of The Martin Family!!!
October 10th ~ 10:45am
"First Event" occurance as The Emen sang as a TRIO for the very first time ever!!!
Jay had some "family business" that took him out of State, so Beckie / Bob / Randy presented the music to the folks of Dinuba First Assembly of God.
Our DEAR Friends Don and Jo Hall are the Pastors.
We were treated to a BURGER FEED in the Social Hall following the concert.
NOTE: Beckie / Bob and Laura PIGGED OUT on Oreo Coffee-n-Cream cookies!!! LOL
October 15th
Another "non - road" entry as we continue with the SAGA of our proposed CD!!!
Due mainly to the time "lost" this summer with the illnesses' of Laura and Randy ... we now are looking at a SPRING release date for our CD!!!
Usually it is "finances" that postpone a release ... this time it is the lack of time spent in the recording studio!!!
October 17th ~ 6pm
Several times over the last few years The Emen have had the opportunity to share in Song at Fresno's OPEN DOOR MINISTRIES. This year we had another WONDERFUL time! Pastor Earl and Sister Rose Hoffman were (as always) gracious hosts. ~~~ We promised the folks we would have a NEW CD when next we return! It was a HOOT to see most everyone "singing along" with the Evangelmen!!!
October 21st ~ 7pm
It was our distinct pleasure once again to open the concert for OUR KIDS The Beene Family at Valley Bible Church in Visalia.
We stopped at LENNY's in Selma on the way home and (over a fine meal) made final plans for our 2005 TOUR!!!
Month of November
GOOD NEWS!
We took the month of November OFF from performing to work on songs for a NEW CD!!! (our first since 1998)
It seemed that working the time into our "life schedule" was not getting the job done, so we chose the time off way.
We plan a February release of the "new" Evangelmen project, tentatively to be titled "Oh Come Along"!
December 2nd ~ 6pm
We were privileged to be on the program for the Annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree for the City of Tulare! (thanks Larry Martin)
Several hundred people gathered to hear 90 minutes of Southern Gospel and Seasonal Music, share cookies and hot chocolate, have pix taken with Santa, and watch as the switch is thrown to light the huge tree.
December 4th ~ 7pm
WHAT A GRAND NIGHT!!!
Around 2pm we met with our friends and special guests' the California Melody Boys at the Goshen Church of God. After soundchecks and setting up our Product Tables, we adjourned to Don Chuy's Taqueria for a bite to eat. I am not sure which we enjoyed the most: the fantastic food or the "comedy" of our waiter!!!
By 7pm we were "almost" comfortable enough to sing, and we were soon ALL "full of the Spirit" as we entered into Praises in Song!
Pastor Cope is always a gracious host, and it is always a JOY to sing at his church.
December 5th ~ 10:45am
The Emen returned to Goshen, where they sang 4 songs previous to the Preaching of Rev. Randy O. Branson.
It was the first Pulpit Ministry opportunity for Randy in over a year, and he stated he wasn't sure if he would "remember how". Pastor Cope said he definitely did.
