Q: Which party took Social Security from an independent fund and put it in
the general fund so that Congress could spend it? A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratic-controlled House and Senate. Q: Which party put a tax on Social Security? A: The Democratic party. Q: Which party increased the tax on Social Security? A: The Democratic Party with Al Gore casting the deciding vote. Q: Which party decided to give money to immigrants? A: That's right, immigrants moved into this country and at age 65 got SSI Social Security. The Democratic Party gave that to them although they never paid a dime into it. Then, after doing all this, the Democrats turn around and tell you the Republicans want to take your Social Security. And the worst part about it is, people believe it! |

Most folks who know me know I am BOLDLY CONSERVATIVE, so why should it surprise anyone that I would publicaly speak to this "issue"??? FIRST OF ALL...let me state plainly that I have no problems whatsoever with ANYONE from ANY COUNTRY coming to our Great Land and becoming an AMERICAN!!! I am all for them maintaining their language and their culture IN THE PRIVACY OF THEIR HOME!!! It is when they try making America "like home" that I have a MAJOR ISSUE with them!!! When they refuse to learn ENGLISH and DEMAND "social programss" just for breathing American Air ... when they insist that EYE learn "their language" (which I have been told by some would be required if they get THEIR way) ... and especially when they fly the flag of their former country ABOVE The Red White and Blue (or even worse BURN the Stars and Stripes "in protest") ... I am ready to show NO MERCY and send them ALL back to wherever they came from!!!!! Would I give allowances to those who are here illegally if they choose to become American Citizens??? ONLY WITH strict guidelines!!! #1 = LEARN English! (or go home) #2 = Complete the Naturalization Process within 2 years. #3 = If they refuse to take the Citizenship Test (or fail repeatedly) SHIP 'EM HOME!!! #4 = Any "Illegial" who already has a crime record HERE (or has one in their former country) SHOULD BE EXPELLED!!! We do NOT need any more criminals!!! When I was a teen in the turbulent days of "Hippies" and the Viet Nam War I was taught the inscription on the Statue of Liberty. I can still quote it over 40 years later: Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to be free, The wretched refuge from your teaming shores, Send them, the homeless, tempest - tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the Golden Door! When I see High School CHILDREN who have not even been taught "American History" walking out of class carrying signs defamatory to MY COUNTRY; and stompinmg on MY FLAG while they raise their flag high; I recall what someone recently said: "With all that has happened in recent years, I now see the Statue of Liberty standing in the harbor with a baseball bat in her hand saying: 'Ya wanna come and get a piece of this'???" John Wayne recorded a touching poem germain to this issue. It spoke of the "hyphen" being a word that DIVIDES Americans, and I completely agree!!! Almost ALL OF US came from somewhere else!!! If I were to apply the "hyphen" to my own person I would have to be called an English - African - Native American ... but I am MORE THAN HAPPY to simply be called AN AMERICAN!!!!! |
